Today Insurance Journal magazine published Levees.org’s levee statistics and new data in its periodical.

Insurance Journal and its web site, products of Wells Publishing, is a trade news organization covering the property/casualty insurance industry. Its magazines are published on a national/regional basis 24 times a year. There are five regional editions, and around 43,000 subscribers.

The levee county data for the research was attained by Levees.org in a request to FEMA under the Freedom of Information Act. The research was conducted by geographer Ezra Boyd.
