ASCE meets YouTube

Early this past week, an in-house attorney for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) served Levees.Org with a Cease and Desist letter, ordering us to remove our latest Public Service Announcement from YouTube. On Tuesday night, the webmaster, my 17 year old son removed the video from view, after returning from his out-of-state track meet.

Interestingly, it appears the Cease and Desist order from the ASCE has actually caused more attention to the video than before. The Times Picayune, on Tuesday night November 13 reposted the video to YouTube. In under 2 days, the video has been viewed over 11,000 times and garnered 20 honors including #1 most viewed video in the Non Profit section.

Hey Sandy, you are such a dear. I am so proud of you all and levees.org. I have been posting articles~and the video~on this story onto the New Orleans Ladder as they pile up. Free Speech is just great, eh?
