On May 16, 2026, dozens of residents, neighbors and friends attended Levees.org’s first ever J. David Rogers Day. The event honored the late internationally renowned engineer who put his career on the line to find the truth about who was responsible for the levee failures and flooding during Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans in 2005.

The event took place at the Levee Exhibit Hall & Garden at 5000 Warrington Drive, New Orleans.
