LeveesOrg to speak at conference and lead tour

June 9-11, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice will host a conference in New Orleans on Critical Incidents Analysis: Displacement as an Obstacle to Recovery at the Superbowl Holiday Inn.

Jed Horne, author of Breach of Faith, will be keynote speaker at the conference’s commencement on June 9th. Levees.org, one of the planners of the conference, will lead a levee breach tour on Thursday June 10th. Supporters of Levees.org have generously volunteered their time and vehicles to transport the conference guests for the tour.

Sandy Rosenthal, founder of Levees.org will speak on Thursday.

    Thank you so much to Sandy and all the volunteers for taking the time to drive us to some of the areas that were hardest hit by Katrina. Sandy, you were a wonderful tour guide and it was great to see you again!

    Levees.org’s mission is education on the root cause of the New Orleans flooding. We are not related in any way to the lawsuit. But it’s my understanding from reading news releases that Judge Stan Duval has judged last Nov 2009 for the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Corps of Engineers. That is on appeal.
