Levees.org is an investigative and public education non profit founded in November 2005 by Sandy Rosenthal and her son Stanford. Rosenthal’s book, Words Whispered in Water: the Real Reason the Levees Broke (Mango Publishing) will be out in 2020.


To provide education on why the levees broke in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina in 2005; to promote historic preservation
