DECOMP stands for decompartmentalization — of the Everglades, as part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP).

Event Title:  New DECOMP Proposal Committee-2nd meeting

Date:  October 23 – committee meeting

 Time:  10:00 to 12:30 am.   

Description and General Purpose of the Meeting:

At the September 20-21, 2006 Task Force meeting, Kameran Onley asked the Executive Director to establish a committee to review the “Bold Decomp” proposal presented by George Dunlop and Dennis Duke and report back to the Task Force at its meeting in Key West on December 6-7. 

 The committee is being established to:

Provide feedback on the concept to the Task Force in December

Provide for public participation and comment

Help the Corps refine its concept

 Public Comment:  Public comment will be allowed at the end of the meeting

 Location:  IFAS (UF)

                   Room 130

                   3205 College Avenue (across the road from FAU and BCC, west entrance)

Take I-95 to I-595 East (Ft. Lauderdale). Go west (“to I-75”). Exit I-595 at University Drive and go south to SW 24th Street (Nova Drive) (less than a half mile). Turn left on SW 24th and go to the next stoplight. This is College Avenue. Turn
