What is the GreenARMY?

Lt General Russel Honore

By now you have probably heard of the GreenARMY in Louisiana led by Lt General Russel Honore.

Gen Honore is the Commander who restored order in the aftermath of the levee breaks in New Orleans in 2005.

The GreenARMY is a loose coalition of organized groups, both large and small, with a common vision: Clean air, water and food in Louisiana.

The GreenARMY is refusing to allow unchecked, the continuing destruction of Louisiana’s coastal environment and water quality caused by unregulated and exploitative oil and gas extraction in the state and its coastal waters.
