Levees.org founder featured in new book

Cherchez of Femme: New Orleans Women by Cheryl Gerber (University of Mississippi, 2020)

Founder Sandy Rosenthal is featured in a newly released hard bound pictorial book.

Rosenthal appears in Chapter 6, The Era of Women written by Katy Reckdahl. Rosenthal was selected for her work to educate the American public about the cause of the levee failures and catastrophic flooding in New Orleans in August 2005.

The Army Corps requests $3.2B from Congress to raise New Orleans levees

The Army Corps of Engineers has recommended that Congress invest $3.2 billion to raise the levees in the New Orleans region to account for sea level rise and anticipated subsidence. Levees.org’s lead researcher, HJ Bosworth, speaks to Rob Masson with Fox8 News about it.
